I'm torn between Treeline Outdoors and CVT Summit series tents and am going crazy swapping back and forth daily. I like TO since they are an Alberta company and have some very nice features but the summit series has those same features plus a few more.

Treeline this time for the win because of discounts... if we get to the pre determined thresholds

And you're an Alberta guy! Support local:thumbsup:

For me it comes down to the ergonomics of the tent. If you look at CVT, Free Spirit, Tepui, etc, they all have the same boxy design. With the Treeline they have just enough flair with their rounded design it feels like I'm actually buying a different tent on the market. Not just paying a different price for the same tent with a different name on it.

This is very true...and they have nicer windows and openings than the others too. These are minor things but I just wish Treeline would offer an anti condensation mat, telescoping ladder and have better (CVT summit series like) straps for their cover.

Treeline offers the non condensing cover which can come off or be left on your choice. I think I would just leave it on full time. Not sure if its washable. I would have to assume it is which I like. Not sure I can help you out with the Ladder. More windows and natural light it lets in especially in the annex is a plus.

I can't vouch for the straps but I have read that other Vendors Straps do give out and don't wear well (if thats what you mean). I think that is just the nature of the beast with all the RTT Manufactures.

I'm definitely getting one of these but super expensive. Holding off for now.

I wish the redwood came in spruce green.... Not sure if the ponderossa would fit 2 adults who like a little elbow room and 2 toddlers all sleeping up top very well.... Anyone have a rtt of similar size in san diego area?

I've used a few different RTT's now and they all seem to pond water on the overhang. Does treeline's design do anything to address that?

I'll pitch this to Luke for a more comprehensive response but judging from the rounded exterior design in theory it should fend off the ponding... I'll respond with his response shortly.
