I don’t think you need to disconnect the battery just to undo your seatbelt monitor. But if you have airbags and shit, probably a good idea to do exactly the way you are thinking. Can’t be too safe with the airbag stuff.

Took about 1 1/2 hours, didn’t take the seats out, just unbolted them.
I personally think my charcoal color matches the websites pretty closely, but I’ve only seen them at night.
Fit and finish is excellent (coming from Walmart covers:rofl:)
I’m not too stoked on the arm rest cover. Makes it a bitch to open/close and just doesn’t look very good IMHO.
The neoprene feels very high quality, and based off wetsuits, these are high quality neoprene.
I do have a little air gap theoughout back rest and little on the bottom, but I think that’ll snug up in about a week.
Overall, I’m stoked with them, but only time will tell how they’ll hold up!
Also, two week turn around is rather quick and nice! Just in time for the weekend.

Pardon the crappy night IPhones photos, and no the dog wasn’t part of the package ;)

I've noticed the charcoal being a bit more brown, while the stock seats have a little bit more of a blueish color. Though it looks like the lighting may have exaggerated that in your pics

    Awesome dog !!!!

    Great job on your covers.

I just got into a pot of decent coffee.....and began installing my covers.

Started with the back seat and it went smooth as silk. Fit is really good and the colors are exactly what I was hoping for.

Then moved over to the passenger front seat and I'm bogged down.......4th down and punting.

I'll get back to it later. The seats are going to have to come apart to get the covers fitted correctly, I'm afraid.

I'm not doing well with the console cover fitment at the moment, either. Maybe I have it on backwards.....

With LED lights, they actually appear to be bluish, but strong possibility I’m blind.
They are for sure darker in tone than the seats, which I like.

I only did the fronts and it was a bear!
I couldn’t find a front/back for console cover, so I made where the compression band meets.

On a final note, went duck hunting this morning with a buddy, both got in the truck (also was raining) and the covers handled the water very well.

I disconnected the battery and unbolted the seats. Being able to lean them back was really helpful.

An hour after getting them installed I was gassing up for a six hour road trip.

    Covers added great comfort.

Just finished, disconnect battery and removed seats. Took about an hour for everything.

Maybe 2nd and 3rd gens are a lot harder but my was fairly painless. Just had to loosen the clip as much as possible then clicked all 3 together then tightened em up

Well.....got these installed last Friday....finished up about an hour before making a 350 mile drive.

They add some really nice padding to the Tacoma's seats. I think they will really help with the wear spots, too. My prior truck, Frontier 4x4, had bad wear on the drivers seat from where I'd slide in/out of it.

They are #11 Charcoal with Black piping (full) and the Toyota emblem (TYT011). I really like the color...slightly darker than the factory cloth seats.

Disconnected the battery(10mm wrench) and unbolted the seats (14mm wrench). Being able to lean the seats back made it much easier to unsnap the seat cover panels and do the installation and return the factory clips and the Wet Okole seat-back clips.

The rear seat cover was a piece of cake to install.

After riding on them for a few more days I'll see if I can get the wrinkles flattened by tucking everything in more carefully.

Maybe it’s a dumb question, but why disconnect the battery?

And are y’all unbolting the seat from the cab floor?

My old truck had the fronts installed when I bought it. I added the rears and they went on easily.

    Why disconnect the battery ????

Because there is a maze of wiring below the seat all connected to sensors that trigger airbags among other things.

Tipping the seat backwards puts strain on said wiring.

Seemed prudent to disconnect the negative terminal on the battery.

Using a 10mm wrench it took a total of 10 seconds to do.

The only recovery step was to reset the clock on my stereo.

That's why I disconnected the battery.

Thanks, makes sense. Wasn’t questioning it as if disconnecting the battery was a hassle, simply hadn’t thought about the airbags.

    Understood.

Freaking airbags are all over these trucks.

    It's almost crazy.
