What do you use for headlight housings? New, used, aftermarket?

 

I am new to this HL stuff. I think I would be happy with blacked out mod and like some demon eyes. Don't have to have hid or anything. Actually thinking about doing that other HL mod on here for more lights. So 2015 blacked out with demon eyes. Aprox would I be looking at

Well that is fucking beautiful!! Are these street legal? I read the word "retrofit headlights" on here so much and I don't even know what that means. I love the look but if it's going to get me pulled over then I'm apprehensive about spending the money
