Where are they located? Feels like it's right in the middle of the truck where the driveshaft is.

Is this clunk every time you stop? If I pull into my driveway and stop, no clunk. Back out of the driveway and stop, clunk. Pull forward and park on the street, clunk...

I also noticed a clunk in the drive thru. If I'm inching forward and don't transition from gas to clutch smoothly... clunk. Annoying to me but nobody else at Taco Bell seems to care.

On the inside of the lower control arms.. on the one up front you tighten the nut and on the rear one you tighten the bolt. both should be inside the U part of the control arm

I just had a thought, It could also be the tranny shifting back into first gear as you come to a complete stop.

I know you didn't do this but I had the same issue that was stupidly (actually beyond stupid) caused by me in this case. With 3000 miles on the truck I had to go to an event 4 miles down a dirt road in heavy rain. The next morning I jacked up the truck and took off each wheel and cleaned the dirt out of the backside of the rims and inside the fender wells (yes, I'll admit I'm anal about my ride). Long story short, I torqued all the lugs but the ones on the front driver's side. I kept hearing a low "chunk" on occasion when I would come to a stop. Took it to the dealer and the tech said, "I found your problem...the lugs on your front driver's side were not tight." I didn't admit to taking the rims off so they charged the labor to warranty. I always rotate my own tires but I damn sure have learned a valuable lesson!!

I get this clunk when I come to a stop. Only happens when the truck hasn't warmed up all the way. It feels like it comes from the rear. Same clunk you get if you parked on an incline and didn't use the handbrake. When you go from P to D, there's a transmission clunk.

This clunk you are describing is a driveline clunk. It isn't from the transmission. The driveline loads up with the weight of the truck when parked on a hill. When you shift into drive the driveline unloads and then reloads. The clunk is from the play in the ring and pinion and in the slip yoke. It is a small clunk that gets amplified by the tube of the driveshaft. This also might be what the OP is hearing.

I have a long wheel base Econoline Motorhome with a long driveshaft. The clunks from that driveline from park to drive or drive to reverse make the Tacoma driveline clunks minor at best. Nothing that I am concerned about. If the play isn't in the driveline for movement and heat expansion then things seize up and break.

2020 SR. Mine does this too. Not on every stop. Maybe once or twice a day during a 25 mile trip. Test drove other Tacomas before buying this one and noticed same sound. Figured it was normal.

I drove a 2003 Dodge Dakota for 13 years with a clunk like you are descending. I just got use to hearing it.
