Sorry guys no time for resaerch right this second. I have a noise that I cant find easily. I hear a clunking sound driving steady in twd. Mostly under 20 mph. If i pull back on the 4x4 shifter the noise gets worse momentarily, then goes away sometimes...I have removed the drivers side half shaft and the bearing apears to be in good shape. I tied a rope to my front propeller shaft and drove down the road.... I dont have a camera. Anyway the rope was wrapped around the driveshaft when I got back off of my 1 mile test drive in twd... So what would cause the driveshaft to turn in twd?

I don't know about 4wd stuff but I suppose it could be free spinning from simple drag and not really engaged and turning under and force.

but you should test it in the dirt and see if the front is pulling when in 2wd

im sure the 4wd guys will pop in soon to help you
