Clunk in Drivetrain After Starting From Stop

I did an on-line search and I found some references to this but only with older Tacomas.

When I come to a stop (usually a hard stop) and then take off again, about 1/2 second after I start to go, I feel a clunk in the drivetrain of my 2015 Tacoma. The problem is that it doesn't always do it. It happens maybe 20% of the time. I have the 4 cylinder pre runner auto tranny and I only have 18K on it. It think it's been doing this since I bought the truck new.

Some things I have read have indicated that this is normal. Other things say maybe not.

Here is the really strange thing...I also own a 2007 Tundra and it very rarely does the same thing!

Has anyone else here experienced this with a newer model Tacoma?

My wife has a 2005 Tacoma and she was experiencing the same problem...Found out the u-bolts on the rear axles were loose and causing the rear end to pop out during hard stops. After new bolts were installed and properly tightened, its good to go!
