    Hello Everyone,

Odd question. Whenever I first drive my truck after sitting overnight, or at work, and when I go over a speed bump at a conservative speed, not speeding or crawling, there is a loud clunk sound in the front suspension. It only happens on the first speed bump, and not the ones following, I have about 5 on my street. It's not the best sound.

It would be on the compression portion. And before everyone tells me to slow down, I literally am going 5-10mph. These are small bumps. Also, happens on driveway exits.

    Ideas?

    2016 4x4 SR5 Stock

    Thanksin advance

Could be anything, if you're still under the 2yr/24k warranty have your dealer look at it.
I don't think anyone of us can see under your truck up close and personal like they can.

    Hope that helps
    Cheers!

I get a clunk too from my aftermarket suspension over harsh speed bumps going about that speed. Mine is on the decompression though (back side of the speed bump) Someone mentioned it might be the internal bump stop of the shock. Could possibly your problem.

All of my video attempts have been futile. Now I'm practically searching for big bumps to make the clunking sound.

Who knows, probably should just upgrade to ICON....

I have a very similar noise when going into a driveway with a bit of incline/bump at an angle. Had it with stock suspension and still today with 887 coils and 5100s.

I had a similar noise and I tightened up the cab mounts just a little and the noise has stopped.

I'm a clunker at low speeds over speed bumps. But the manual transmission also chunks and clanks loudly if you shift 1st to 2nd at low speed. I figured it was just a tacoma thing.

Which positions? All? And did you tighten from the nut side (under truck)? I'd assume you did, it would be a lot of effort to access all of the bolts in the cab.

Check the RF radiator support body mount. Had one that wore through the rubber. Then have the dealer replace it
