its a Toyota truck and that's all the modifications needed
Exactly:cheers: also using a high quality synthetic grease with Moly usually does the trick

    Yeah, it happens.

OP, have them check your truck's cab/ frame bushings and the radiator support bushings too.

I have. They offered me a 125k mile/8yr warranty instead or a "deal" on a tundra. To have toyota buy back a vehicle you have to go with lawyers.

Ah. As good as these trucks are with holding resale, you might be able to get pretty close to a straight swap getting a '17. I've heard they aren't as prone to these issues. Probably cheaper than a lawyer. I wonder if they'd throw in that same warranty on a new one?

I'm waiting to see what the 2018 ranger looks like or I may go back to full size possibly a 2500HD

I'm not willing to take a $6k loss on a vehicle because Toyota messed up. That's what their warranty is for. It's my prerogative to ride them until they sort out their shit.

So, Toyota, if you are listening, I will continue to bash these trucks, take it in to the dealership every month, and have them continue to replace parts until this is so expensive for you than you actually do something about it.

My point, in the post you quoted, is that people on this forum have been pulling this "Mexican factory is crap!" bullshit from jump street. It's not a factory issue. The Texas plant is pumping out junk too. Toyota's design and overall QC is not catching these howling diffs, misaligned beds, vibrating drive shafts, etc etc

Why don't you just trade it in? Right before I got my new tacoma, I was seriously considering a '16 sierra denali 4x4. In fact, if you're crafty, you can find them for not much more than the new trd pros. I am a GM guy normally but wanted something that would fit in my garage, so I went taco. Mine only has 4k miles bit I haven't had any issues really.

I had a 2011 Sierra Denali. If I go full size again I'm going 2500 duramax. I don't want to trade it in for a 5 or 6k loss. What @tacoflavoredkisses1 said above

If you're considering a 2500hd why do you have a midsize? Not nearly close to the same class.

Because unless the new Ranger impresses I don't see any other midsize I would want to buy. Plus I'm on the fringe of needing more room to haul gear

Ehh, it's just money lol. Man earlier in the year I looked at a leftover 2015 silverado high Country 2500 on clearance for just shy of 40K. Somewhere at a dealer up north or I probably lyrics would have sprung for it. Lol I paid more than that for this Tacoma. I don't regret it one bit though to be honest.

Yeah but I'm irritated at this point this toyota has been a huge disappointment so I'll continue to beat them up online and through service appointments until I get a few years on the truck then I'll dump it and never go back to a tacoma again.

Yeah I get it man, just seems like a waste of time and brain space. Lol. I'd dump the truck and move on if it bothered me that bad.

My 2013 had this problem and it drove me nuts. To the point that all I would do is listen for it to happen. Every time I stopped, as soon as I moved my foot from brake to gas it would clank. I put a 4 ft pipe on a 1/2 in ratchet and tightened my U bolts (they were not loose but it worked). Clunk gone. Breaker bar was not big enough. Be careful not to tighten too much and break something. It takes two guys, one to hold the ratchet upside down and the other to turn. TW member solved this for me!

If I had not just bought the tacoma last December it would be a different scenario

These trucks don't depreciate like other American trucks. Take it in to the dealer, and see what they offer on trade in, and get a retail value for it. I think you'll be surprised.
