Sometimes when I break while reversing specially when turning the wheel I hear a clunk or some noise. Doesn’t occur all the time maybe 20-30% of the time.

even realized it also makes the noise when not in reverse but that happens very infrequently.

is it normal? Or is there something wrong that I am missing. Should I take it to dealer for inspection?

You’re hearing the pads shift and clink into the caliper. They butt up against a shoulder on the caliper for support. Normal. You hear the noise anytime you brake in a new direction. If you’ve been driving forward and then go in reverse, you’ll hear it once. Probably will hear it the next time going forward but just depends. Also depends on the environment as to whether or not you can hear it.

Had this same problem. Pull pads, remove shims, clean back of pads/shims, and pins. Apply new coat of brake grease on backside of pads/shims and pins.
