I have a clunking banging noise that I just cant figure out.
It only happens when stopped on an incline and I take off hard.
Sounds like it coming from trans back but I'm not sure.
The sound feels like the drive shaft is hitting and only lasts a few seconds.
Truck never did this until after my frame or drive shaft replacement.
    05 acc cab 3/1 spacer lift with 1" blocks in rear, 285 70 17s.

Axle wrap. The blocks will contribute to this also. Why and what kind of driveshaft did you have installed. OEM? What condition is the center bearing? If it is weak it could cause this also.

Drive shaft is OME. I had it installed because the old one had a loud slamming on take off. I believe due to no grease fitting.
The new one came with new u joints and carrier bearing. Busy now in about a week I can mess with it see I can find out where noise is coming from.

    Will try to check bearing

Old drive shaft was slamming and banging, now the new one is doing it...???

You do know that on the old drive shaft you could have just replaced the universal joints for a couple of hundred bucks right?

The noise is different - On the old drive shaft it was the slip joint. I still have the shaft in my garage, if you turn it by hand it clunks once in the direction you are turning it.
The new noise bangs several times in quickly but only sometimes. It seems to do it when the weight of the truck shifts back and front of truck lifts up. Feels like something is hitting.

So after reading in other threads with vibe problems I tried flipping the carrier bearing.
After a few hard take offs on an incline the prob has seemed to go away. :fingerscrossed:
    Will keep ya posted.
