Update: took my truck to the dealership and showed them the video I had taken under the driveshaft but they told me that it’s my leaf springs they said they are shifted, and since I put an add a leaf they can’t touch them. I even went in and talked with the actual mechanic because I thought almost Forsure it was the driveshaft. They insisted that it’s leaf springs. So I’m going to hit up the shop that did the add a leaf and hopefully we can take care of that clunking noise.

(Side note I would occasionally get some squeaking from my leaf springs but I would usually spray some lubricant and that would take care of the squeaking. never had this clunking noise before)

I think that’s a standard stealership bs response in my opinion. As long as they can point to a mod that could possibly be blamed, that’s the route most will go. To be fair, I added sumo springs and I bet if I took it to my stealership, they’d claim that mod is the cause…but the clunk was there before the addition of the sumos.

what Im saying is if its ujoints and they are clunking, it too late for grease to help... as for splines sure lube helps As preventative maintenance. Like wearing cologne...is good after shower, not good as instead of shower...

    Thanks, I got those covered.
When splines were mentioned, I was thinking the slip joint splines on the rear drive shaft. I'm thinking that our 2001 double cab had a zerk for them.

Update: Took my truck to the shop that did my AAL and they checked my leaf springs for that clunking sound, and they found a cracked leaf spring spacer (or insert not sure what it’s called). They replaced and as of one day driving the truck the clunking sound is gone. Shout out to 88 rotors for the great service
