good day, new to the Tacoma world..

I am having a loud clunking popping noise coming from front driver side, and sounds like it’s under my feet.

It only really happens on grid roads and on pavement intermittently.

I only have 11000 KM on my 2019 Tacoma off road.

I will be taking it in for warranty work but would just like a little info just in case cause I will be dealing with the dealership.

    Look forward to your responses.

    Welcome.
Let's see...loose wheel, loose front CV nut or bad joint, loose hardware on upper or lower control arm, loose caliper, shock, etc.
Hit anything or did this just start? Need more info. Only when turning, 4x4, etc.

Located just behind the wheel well under the driver and passenger doors.

It’s more of a clunking banging noise. intermittently. I can feel it in my feet. On the floor board. Smooth pavement nothing but wash board grid roads it sounds really bad.

I heard of lower control arms or lca bolts?

Everything seems tight underneath, and that’s my extent of mechanical knowledge. Haha.

This just started yesterday evening I was on grid roads that were muddy so I thought maybe a rock or some gravel. But cleaned it really good today and still same thing.

    Didn’t hit anything

Seems tight and tight are often two different things. Get on those bolts with a socket and a wrench. And check those body mount bolts as suggested.

Hmm. sounds like maybe a rock is stuck somewhere. Get under there and scope it out.

Any suspension mods? If you feel it in your floorboard I agree with @JaCado and checking body mounts. There have been reports of them going bad very early.

Is that what the heavy suspension compression "clack" is? Or rad mounts?

Could be the radiator mounts also but being that he is feeling it in the floorboard, it has to be closer than the radiator.
Shocks have been known to make this noise.
    Sway bar also.

Could be, if some dealership stooge pulled your skid plate and then used his trusty impact driver to cross thread the skid plate bolts, cause he/she only gets a whole 8 min to do the oil change show.
Check your skid plate bolts they did mine and it clanked and banged for a week before I crawled under to have a look.

The truck didn’t have its first oil change yet so I doubt that.

Then your best bet is warranty. Hard part might be finding a place nearby to duplicate it. Does it do it going into driveways or small speed bumps? Would be easier to duplicate. Just a thought. :hattip:

Stranger things have happened. If the truck is that new why not ask the dealer instead of TW?

I can manipulate it on a grid by my place but hopefully the dealership is willing to check it out on that road or another similar on. I was just asking to gather some info before I take it in. Precautionary. I have been burnt by a dealership before, and I’m sure I’m not the only one.

Something similar happened to me in my 02' i had. Ended up needing new ball joints, and control arms. I had 205k miles on it with alot of texas hill country miles and beach miles.
