Did you ever figure out issue? Have an '06 with similar clunking noise coming from front. Toyota just quoted me $1,300 to replace UCA saying that was culprit... was wondering what your solution was?

$1,300 to replace UCAs??? Are they putting in Total Chaos heim joint UCAs?

That's insanity pricing right there for stock UCAs.....

I pulles the sway bar off, sound went away for a few days but it came back. I put some cardboard wrapped in duck tape between my bumper and fender to prevent any chance of them coming into contact and the sound went away again. I am going to have to re adjust my front bumper but will have to do it in a few months because im being deployed for alittle.

I had a similar problem with a new OME lift. Was getting a clunk when I went over speed bumps (on the downside of the bump, ie the rebound stroke. Turns out ARB sent the wrong springs. They were too stiff for the struts.
    Maybe something to consider?

Hmm...i have 887 coils on 5100s bottom setting. I wonder if that could cause some strange issue??

I had the stiffer 887 coils instead of 885's.

@Solution.45 hey did you ever figure out your issue? I got something similar after lifting the truck with BP-51s.

Depending on how much extra weight you have up front and what preload you have it set at they may be topping out. I had mine set at the 20mm preload for winch and steel bumper and they still topped out even though I have a winch, bumper, full skids, sliders, dual battery in the engine bay.

I dropped the preload down to 15mm this weekend and I'll see if it still tops out.

I believe mine were OMEs newer batch as they were shipped with 10mm of preload.

It’s like a strange rattling sound that is hard to replicate. It happens when I’m coasting 20-30mph or when I’m coming to a complete stop.

Did you have your alignment done after the install? I’d hope so if that’s the case check the Torque on your lower cam bolts

I can tell you from my experience, of having both fox and king coilovers, stock and uniball upper control arms, that the noise is just the coilover toppling out and maxing out it's down travel. I have 650# coils on my kings right now, with enough preload on them that any bump that requires more that 2 inches of down travel, I get a clunk. Your option is to adjust the coilover to much less preload, and you will have more down travel, or just roll with it and know that nothing bad is happening. It's annoying, but not the end of the world.

Yeah got an alignment after I installed the kit. Even the mechanic said he heard the sound on a test drive but couldn’t pinpoint what it was.

I hope that it isn’t anything major. I’ve rechecked all bolts abd everything seems fine. I might try adjusting the compression and dampening and see if that helps.
