Clunking/Popping from drivers side wheel.

    I would double check the upper shock/strut where it comes through the upper mounting plate. Not the three nuts that secure the shock/spring assembly but the shock shaft itself... it is a known issue.

    Yeah that would be interesting to see. Do you hear any noise or clunking from the front end? I would think if the bushings are really that bad, you would hear some noise. Mine started clunking so I replaced them with the Whitelines, not sure if there was much movement in them though.

    Well if you're bored one weekend and have a press or at least a bigass bench vice, they might be worth swapping out. Pretty cheap and it definitely improves the ride and handling.

    I couldn't move my lower arm by hand before I replaced mine, but when I pulled off the arm I had 2 bushings of the 4 lower that literally fell out on there ground.

    So this problem has gotten significantly worse in the past 2 days. When I brake, let off the brake, turn, go over bumps, drive normally down the road, almost always now is my truck making this clunking/popping noise. As I apply brakes, it pops more the harder I press, and as I release the brakes, the same pops happen in reverse order almost perfectly. My truck was in the shop a few days ago to get new brakes in the front because I couldn’t get the pins out of the caliper myself. My mechanic checked everything again and said everything was solid and that it may be the LCA bushings even though they seem rigid when not in motion of course. It seems like something is going to go wrong because the noise is so noticeable and so consistent. It’s very odd to me that we cannot recreate this noise. I understand it makes sense that it’s that way but I don’t want to waste hundreds of dollars having someone start replacing things that may not be causing it and neither does my mechanic. I live in Vermont and I have nowhere heated to work on my truck not to mention I don’t have the time, tools, or patience to do it myself as much as I hate to admit it. I know it would be cheap to replace bushings myself but I can’t do it and it is not cheap to have someone else do it. If anyone has some more knowledge on this, it would help so much. I’ve taken the advice in previous replies but still I’m unsure. Thanks again. I had to rush this post so hopefully it makes sense and I didn’t miss anything.

    Well there are only so many things it could be. To me it sounds like a bushing issue due to the sound being constant. Why don't you jack up the truck and put a pry bar in a few different spots to check for motion? You should be able to locate your issue. There should be little to no motion anywhere. I would be willing to put my money on LCA bushings.

    OME and worth every penny.
    use a prybar underneath to try to get bushings, balljoints, and other stuff to move or flex. Another vote to look at that swaybar also, especially endlinks.

    Those bushings above are shot.

    2 dealers did a thorough inspection on the bushings....not wallowed out and no cracks, actually in good shape. They are 2 inch diameter and made of rubber and designed to flex.

    Yes that would make the most sense. Unfortunately, I have done this and nothing moves or makes any noise.

    Front subframe bushings??
    I got mine checked as well on two occasions only to come up empty handed.

    my 95 was missing the end links from all the PA rust. Like a new truck after I replaced em. Probably not your noise, might be time for an OME upgrade?
