I just replaced the Accumulator with a hard line. Now I’m having a pain in the butt trying to bleed it by myself. I pump the pedal 15-20 times, wedge my AR15 between the seat and pedal to hold it down, go underneath to crack open the bleeder, then repeat. Every time I go back up top, the pedal is stuck to the floor. After resetting it, it seems to have plenty of pressure and work normally. It shouldn’t do this..right? I mean..after cracking the bleed open and resealing it, the pedal should pop up on its own? Or am I making this up?

You need 2 people, clutches are difficult to bled, let alone by yourself.

Maybe post what city you are in and see if a TW member can help you.

If you're stuck, try simply gravity bleeding it, let it drip, then try your ar15 method.

I thought the whole “AR15” comment might be amusing to some of you. Rest assured it’s just the barrel, I value my cruise control too much to risk an accidental discharge

I originally tried a Louisville Slugger but it was too long

I took it for a drive and it seemed to drive well enough. It wasn’t the night and day difference I was expecting, but it definitely seemed better. I’m sure a more thorough drive will be more telling.

I just did this the other day

    cap off
    Open bleeder
    Get something to catch it
Push the pedal a few times
I could watch the bleeder while I pushed the pedal with my hand
After it started flowing let out the pedal
    Tighten bleeder
Drive around a little bit. It took a few hundred pushes until the pedal went back to normal feeling. I’ve been checking my fluid level and it hasn’t seemed to have gone down.

So, to clarify: after releasing and reclosing the bleed valve, the clutch pedal should spring back up on its own? It keeps staying in the floor initially and I have to bring it up myself, but then it acts normal. This means the bleed isn’t complete yet, or no?

Clutch Slave cylinder should be bled using hose attached to bleeder valve that is raised above valve and ends in bottle of brake fluid.
This way air is bubbled out and can't enter system because the hose end is under fluid.
    OR
    Vacuum bleed.
Both methods can be done effectively by one person.

Is it possible air is getting trapped in the bend there? If so would this come out using a normal bleed method?

No. It just stays on the floor. And it seems like it’s not complete. It freaked me out and I asked on the adm forum and they reassured me it was fine. I left the heat shield off for a couple of days still.

To answer your question when bleeding yes the pedal will stay on the floor and require you to manually lift it back up.
