    Hi there

I am in the middle of installing a Fortin Evo-One in my 2018 Taco.

I used the THAR TOY5 to make it all plug and play. Fortin neglects to mention that this is not plug and play for the manual trans.

I need to set up a clutch bypass, but I don't know much about these trucks. I see the N2 remote start uses a relay connected to the yellow wire on the Clutch Switch Cancel button... I'm wondering if anyone has an idea where I'd connect the other wires to.

I am wanting some clarification if I'd need to ground the yellow wire or if I'd need to feed it 12v to work. Wiring that up with a relay is no problem but I don't know if I'd use ground or 12v for it.

Also has anyone else successfully installed this command start in a manual and could give me some more tips and feedback?

I've done a few command start installs on older Hondas but nothing this new and never on a Toyota. I am familiar with connecting a ground output to the clutch safety switch on Hondas but not this.

It appears to be a 12v positive trigger, since the other side grounds out.

So I can likely wire similarly to the diagram here?

87 to YELLOW from CSC switch
    85 to ground trigger
    30 and 86 to 12v

The last issue I'm having is:

I can't remote-start the truck. With the clutch pushed in, it will crank and crank, but it doesn't fire up. I'll probably have to reach out to Fortin support for help with that.

FYI this is all good now... Just wanted to update incase anyone has a similar question.

For the clutch bypass, there are two ways to do it. I did it this way because that's how my gremlin brain works.

    Relay wired up like so:
30: yellow wire on clutch safety cancel switch
87: brown wire on clutch safety cancel switch
    87a: empty
85: dark blue "ground when running" GWR wire
86: 12v constant power (took this from the ignition harness on the Fortin brain

The other way to do it (probably better?):
    30: 12v constant
87: yellow wire on clutch safety cancel switch
    87a: empty
    85: dark blue GWR wire
    86: 12v constant

I had to downgrade the firmware on the Fortin and reset everything. Works great now.

My truck is an H Key and manual. I have to press the aux button to enter "ready mode" then once I open and close the door the truck shuts off and locks. I can remote-start my truck, unlock it hop in and put the key in, drive away. Pretty great for the -40*C days...
