Mine squeeks bad during the summer too, been quiet since winter. Install one of these and you'll never hear that squeek again. Works great for me. lol [IMG]

Mine is seriously creeky, seems like everyone here is just temporarily putting a band-aid fix on something the dealer doesn't want to deal with. It's the only thing bad thats happened on my Tacoma, I can't complain. Maybe adds a little character. :D

Just lube up the upper portion of the metal shaft behind the pedal (the part that turns). I'm sure I'm gonna have to do it every once in a while, like the other guys have said on here.

I bought my truck used with 26,000 on it. I had to bring it to the dealership a week after I bought it because the clutch was creaking and actually leaking fluid all over my floor mats. They had to replace what they called the clutch slave cylinder. It has seemed to work.

Yup, had mine for a year and 11K miles. Probably lubed it four or five times. My work truck is an 09 and has done it almost since new, but not as loud as my 06. White lithium in a can with an extra straw on the end to reach up into the correct spot.

it makes sense that it would sqeak so i dont really think its a really problem unless your leaking fluid or it hard to push or not returning( had a friends clutch peddle not return after compressed but it was a nissian hahaha:D)

Ive done it to about 6 trucks, works perfectly every time. Maybe you have a slave cylinder squeak.

I love your truck man, that's exactly what i want. Sick. You'll hear the squeak pretty soon, unless they changed something on the 2011.

I have the problem too on my 2008 Access cab 2.7L I purchased in November as a certified vehicle with 29K on it. The dealer looked at it and ordered parts for it which haven't come in yet. The squeak is coming from the bellhousing. I shot some WD-40 onto the input shaft and that lasted about a week. Sounds like this is a recurring problem. On top of that, the clutch pedal doesn't return quickly when released if the temp is below 10 degrees F. That was supposedly fixed, but it's back this morning with the temp at -5F. So much for Toyota quality.

The Toyota dealer has the parts in and the truck is going in on Wednesday. I'll check with the SA and find out what they will be doing and what parts are being replaced. Then I'll update after I get it back.

^ The squeak referred to in this post is from the inside of the truck, caused by a lil nut/washer on the pedal assembly. The one you are talking about is the throwout bearing squeak I believe since its coming from the bell housing, however, I think that only applies to the 4wd v6 transmission. Let us know what the dealer replaces.

I wasn't sure if there was a difference about where the clutch squeak was coming from and apologize for not posting in the correct place or starting a new thread. I'll post what was done and replaced when I get it back.

BTW...They gave me a 2007 Prius to drive. I don't know what all the buzz is about it. My Taco rides and handles much better and is MUCH quieter.

I got my truck back this afternoon. The work order says, "Clutch fork and pivot ball rusty. Replaced clutch fork and replaced clutch release bearing and lubed pivot points." The 2 parts listed were "bearing assy" and "fork sub-assy". The clutch is smoother now than before. Makes me wonder if this was the reason the clutch would stick when cold. I also wonder why there is no boot to cover the opening in the bellhousing. Makes no sense except for a cost reduction. Anyway, that's the status. I'll know for sure over the course of the next couple of weeks.

Pulled the boot on the bell housing aside on my 08' and used a small amount of white lithium grease on the clutch fork and pivot ball.........annoying creak gone and smoother clutch. Looks like I'll include this with my oil changes. I had lubed / adjusted the pedal assembly in the cab and this was definitely from outside the truck.

    Thanks guys!
