    Hey guys!

Just bolted my new clutch up but am having second thoughts. Can any one confirm what direction the clutch disk should be? I order a Toyota clutch kit and it’s not labeled for the fly wheel side. Before I slide the transmission in I just wanted to confirm. One side is flat the other is raised where the springs are.

    Thanks!

Pretty much every clutch I've seen the flat side goes toward the engine/flywheel and the spring side goes toward the pressure plate, most are impossible to install backwards as the pressure plate typically won't bolt up if it's backwards.

Check in around 7:44. Flatter side towards the flywheel, raised side goes to the pressure plate.

Ok thanks I thought that what I saw but wanted to confirm. Next issue is the throw out bearing is shorter and the spring will not work. I saw a thread about the bearing being the new style, wondering if I could use the old spring…

I had the same issue and had to swap the spring from my old bearing to the new one. The one it shipped with did not fit through the fork. I didn't notice different height in the bearing itself, but maybe I just overlooked it. Wouldn't worry about it though. Swap the spring and you should be good to go
