Hello All I have a 98 Tacoma 4x4 manual 2.7L and the truck supposedly had a clutch replacement just before I baught it (1 month ago) but I noticed that it is hard to shift to every gear when the truck is stationary, and I can feel the transfer case still spining if I try to engage 4Lo, what can it be? Can i adjust the clutch? The pedal has little free play, or bleeding the clutch may aliviate this problem? Thank you everybody

Did you see any receipts related to clutch "supposedly" being replaced ?

I would try to bleed the clutch as a first step, since it's relatively easy and quick. If there is any air in the lines, it will compress and rob the hydraulic pressure you need to fully disengage the clutch.

Unfortunately, I dont have evidence of the new clutch kit, so it may or may not be true. I will try bleeding the clutch if not then I dont know what can it be, never had this problem before

Definitely sounds like a clutch either going bad, not adjusted correctly or air in the lines as mentioned above. I would try the cheapest route first. Bleed it. See if any air comes out. With a new clutch kit your master and slave should look new as well (if they in fact replaced it). What do those look like? I believe the OEM slave should be blue in color but don't quote me on that.
