Disc Brake Grease is the best solution to the problem IMHO as it doesn't melt away.

The last thing you want is some blue goo all over your shoe.

The clutch pedal in my 1985 GMC Sierra pick up has been squeaking since it was new, still does. Annoying.

The clutch pedal squeaked in my moms sentra and subaru. It was really annoying driving, especially the subaru, it was loud. I never had this issue with any of my previous vehicles. Not even in my POS 87 camaro, which was a lemon, had fun with it in high school though, haha! Go figure.

TSB completed on mine and the creaking has not returned. The TSB actually improved the clutch feel/operation for me.

FWIW, my buddy's 1998 tacoma did this, and my 2014 did too. Same noise. Now that I'm looking at 3rd gen M/T's nice to know there will be that familiarity...

I had the 1ST TSB that Toyota offered for the squeaky clutch. there is now an updated TSB that's has a different part# in it, I believe it was the part of the pedal/assembly being metal now not plastic? but I have not gone in for the updated TSB because it was winter and I only get the creaks in warmer weather. Toyota would not do the TSB without being able to reproduce the noise.
