The more I drive my MT, the more I wish the pedal was not so far forward. When I rest my foot on the floor to the left of the pedal, it's actually behind where the pedal extends... so when I have to depress the clutch, I must bring my foot out and then to the right. On some occasions, my foot will actually get caught on the pedal arm.

Are there any pedal mods to make the clutch pedal more comfortable to operate?

No. It cannot be adjusted. The rest position is set by the non-adjustable master cylinder mount and stroke. The only adjustment is a minor amount for the proper free play.

To physically change the pedal position, the only real option is getting a metal pedal from an FJC and cutting / welding to a personal preference.

I had it back for a while, but I have long legs and it makes it to where I have to lean pretty far forward to operate any of the infotainment buttons. It's also too far back to comfortably shift and it puts my arms too far from the steering wheel.

I'm pretty average at 5'11" and 30" inseam. It does seem like the seat/wheel/pedals/controls distances on these trucks was designed on a Friday afternoon... :(

The 5mm total adjustment of the steering wheel is just odd. I think if it had a better range, a lot of discomfort could be taken care of.

    So much agree.
That first time you say "hey, the wheel is adjustable" followed quickly by  "WTH, is that it???"

I have short legs and a long torso with long arms. Everything seems well within reach for me. I do rub my head on the headliner occasionally though.

Hmmm, from my perspective, I wish the pedal was a tad higher (i.e. "more forward"). Why? it would make it easier for me to comfortably rest my foot behind the pedal when wearing shoes. I've only done two long(ish) drives in my Tacoma so far, but both times I needed to take my shoes off so I could comfortably rest my left leg with the foot behind the pedal.

Build up the "Dead pedal" aka foot rest taller.

The pedal does have separate height and free play adjustment, not just free play. There is an end stop at the top of the travel (either a bolt or a switch if equipped with cruise) that is adjustable. Back this adjustment off to bring the pedal up, then readjust the free play to spec.

Driving without my shoes has been the only true way I’ve been comfortable with the dead pedal area in this truck. The pedal design and spacing truly sucks compared to every other manual (lots) I’ve owned. That being said, the dead pedal is just a piece of plastic behind the carpet. You can pull that area and remove it entirely or fab a custom puck. The carpet not being formed correctly would be the only real consequence.

I’m seriously considering looking into options for someone to fab a custom pedal that’s thinner and more to the right to free up space.
