This was very common on the manuals. My 2011 6 speed that I had did this. One of the reasons I sold it and got the auto. There are a few things you can try to stop the noise. I had the dealer work on mine, but it wiuld always come back.

My clutch pedal creaked like an old barn door, I sprayed a bit of Tri Flow lubricant on the spring behind the pedal and its been silent ever since. Almost 8k miles

my 2016 creeks real bad. Can confirm it's a toyota thing and they have probably been using the same clutch pedal since 2005 with no fucks given.

I have 2014 and it was squeaking so loud. The dealer replaced the bushings and it's been ok since.

Mine really made the worst noise on the Hottest Days, that's why I chose Disc Brake Grease figuring it could withstand heat better.

(2015) On my third trip to dealer they repalced whole assembly 2 months later in hot temp it is starting to come back dealer tells me as long as warranty is good they will fix after that it's on me. So in a few more years when warranty runs out I hope there is a better fix

This problem has been around for over 6 years, if not longer. Your best bet is to look into some threads where people fixed it on their own.

This problem has been around since 2005. What does that have to do with op using his warranty for a free fix?

I was responding to a different persons comment. Notice the quote in my post.
Secondly, the fixes that have been done by other members are real fixes, not toyotas faulty replacement.

I have a jar of never seize that has a brush attached to the lid. I used that to lube the pivot point between the piston rod and pedal. Noise has been gone since beginning of the summer. I did have the assy replaced via the TSB and the noise came back. I'll stick with a bit of lube when the noise returns.

That is brilliant! Has the annoying squeak stayed away?

Warranties are not free they are figured in on the cost of the truck plus I have purchased the extended warranty. Since I already paid to have the dealer fix it they will fix it. Every summer if need be. After that I will try the never seize. That would last longer than grease for this application.

My 98 Tacoma did this, the noise was coming from the return spring on the clutch pedal inside the truck. My fix was a little grease on all areas where that spring attached. Worked good, but I did have to redo it a few yrs later.
