Damn, that's an annoying noise. I've never heard it on my '18 with 17k miles on it (knock on wood). Only problem I've really had is the groaning clutch pedal thing, replaced twice, now on the TSB pedal and so far so good. I'm curious to see what exactly this turns out to be and how it gets fixed.

Good to know I knew it couldn't be the clutch.

Yeah if I get some traction on this I will definitely post a detailed resolution. Meanwhile I hope to hear back from others that have the same issue. If it happens to be a new issue it might help to keep track of years/ build dates.

I’m getting the creaking clutch pedal sound. I mentioned it once but the dealer could duplicate. Now it’s getting worse. Is it worth it to push for the TSB? 16k miles.

Good luck. My dealership didn't even look at my truck. Just wanted to pull the clutch and blame it all on me... no I have a few leads I need to check out.

From what I have found that is fixed by a specific grease toyota changed too. You could possibly find some think stuff that is not effected by hot weather to fix.

A new Stealership said they pinned it down to bushings in the clutcj assembly and have ordered the parts. I have my truck back and will take it back once they arrive. I will follow up once the service is finished.

Hell of a lot better than just letting the last dealership rip into the transmission and clutch right from the start. But we will see.

Just use brake grease for that every couple months.

I adjusted the pushrod and it resolved my creaks and clicks. Im not doing the TSB at this point because I don’t want them effing with my truck. I’ll keep an eye out for another 4K and make a decision at my 20k service.

I did the same and the truck clutch engagement was all over the place and when I dropped off the truck it was grabbing at the very top. Something was very off. If anyone is interested I will get better pictures of the replaced parts and I still plan to add a picture of the warranty invoice.

No kidding. I was shocked at how fast they diagnosed the issue then the truck was fixed 3 hours after i dropped it off. From what I can tell the work looks good everything tight. Fingers crossed. The information you provided me allowed me to explain my issue in detail and used correct terminology.

I still plan to upgrade to an all metal set up. If it failed once under 10k miles the possibly of it happening again is high.

This was fixed under warranty. I had the squeak and clutch rattle. But it was repaired due to the rattle.
