    1995 Toyota Tacoma
    i com 2300 ham radio. for hunting (170 k miles) list of replacements since 166k miles: 4wd solenoid tailpipe muffer catalitytic conver exhaust manifold
    so all a sudden my clutch is feeling like a sponge and is releasing at the very top. its weird cause its all a sudden. 9 times outta 10 i take off with no gas and i dont burn it up when i shift. so any opinions?

    hydraulics need bleeding or replacing is my opinion.

    i will try bleeding it. it still shifts good. if i need to replace it imma just weight till it starts slipping

    I'm not following. With the symptoms you describe it could be the clutch throw hydraulics (master and slave cylinders). They may need a simple bleeding. They may also be on the verge of failure and need replacing. Not sure what waiting until the clutch starts slipping has to do with replacing the master and/or slave cylinder.

    Probably not the clutch, check the slave cylinder boot, is it wet? Look at the clutch master cylinder boot too, it is probably one or the other. The clutch is most likely fine.
