First Toyota for me and only complaint I have is needing to press clutch absolutely to the floor to change to 4WD or start. I find it hard to flatten my ankle enough to stab the pedal down. Does anyone know if the sensor switch can handily be repositioned a bit to make it coincide with where the clutch is actually released.

There is a plunger switch at the top of the clutch pedal. just unplug it and connect a small jumper wire and your compliants will no longer exist.
    FYI
Your truck will start in gear, and shift into 4WD when you turn the knob, so keep these in mind,

They make a plunger extender for my scion- Maybe you could look at the switch and see if you can add something on top of it?
