Hi everyone! Yesterday (July 16, 2015), after extensive study of my Chilton Manual and a few hours of Internet investigation of forums conversations and YouTube videos, I decided to begin replacing the terribly slipping clutch on my 1995 Tacoma 4WD. Pulled the transmission by myself using a hydraulic jack and a piece of 4x4 lumber. I placed tires on each side for the tranny to land on. Came out without a problem and worked like a dream. I used the jack to giggle the transmission out and didn't need to pry. Today I am washing the flywheel area, transmission and bell housing, drive shafts and trans. cross member. I really only need the clutch and pressure plate but I am considering going the whole shebang with a clutch kit package and flywheel. Can anybody recommend a clutch brand that I can find at a local auto store? Any tips to help me put that big boy transmission back in? I sure don't want to do it by myself but I don't want to endanger my help either. Thanks for any help you can provide.
