I have a 2001 Tacoma, standard 2wd, 4cyl, 2.4eng. So my gear slips sometimes at 1st gear, most of the time in 3rd and sometimes 5th gear. I've searched for new clutches in Napa but idk what time looking for. Can someone guide me I would appreciate it. I would rather try and do it myself and save me so much in labor.

My clutch does not stick in. I can literally drive without any slips by holding the 3rd gear when I shift. It slips when I release the gas pedal during third.

    please help! Thanks.

You need a clutch, pressure plate, and throwout bearing. Should come as a set. All other bearings and such should be in the box and you'll see where they goes as you get the transmission out.
Hardest part of the whole job is the top 3 transmission bolts other than that it's pretty easy.
Wouldn't hurt to have a buddy that's done a clutch before.
Did one on my buddy's 96 a couple months ago along with some other much needed maintenance

Wait, do you mean the clutch slips as in the engine revs but you don't speed up? Or do you mean it is popping out of gear?
