Having a couple of noises that are not normal. Truck only has 40k on it but it is 9 years old and sat for a little while before I got it. Everything drives and shifts fine, if I were deaf I would have no problem with the truck.

First, during a hard(er) acceleration from stop to first, like pulling out in traffic, the truck will sometimes squeal really loud. Sounds like I am peeling out. Is this a throw out bearing issue?

Second, when coming to a stop and pulling it out of gear there is a loud clanking noise. This is really noisy when I am in a drive through up against a concrete wall. No issue in any other shifting sequence, only at really low speed.

If there is another thread please direct me to it. Tried searching but could not find anything.

my 5spd also makes what sounds like a metal on metal noise when taking it out of gear. I have 215k miles on mine and haven't had any problems, I think its normal

Awesome CB setup, TRD leaf springs, matching camper shell...more to come some day.
Try having another stick driver try it. I'm not sure mine makes the same noise as yours.

Dealer is an idiot... no TSB for my truck issue despite having all my info and saying there was possibility of it being covered. Took the time to take it there for absolutely nothing.

So, I still have a TOB (probably) thats making noise and as mentioned above the mechanical noise may be normal.
