Clutch won't engage after pedal spring swap

While driving I had an instance when the clutch pedal was pushed to change gears and then did not come back up. After inspecting and cycling the pedal a few times I saw that master was definitely pushing pedal to return position and that OEM spring bushing was completely shot. Metal on metal. Pivot ground down.

Well I've removed the stock spring to mount a linear 70# return spring and truck will not move. I can cycle the gears just fine when clutch pedal is depressed but after that. Nothing. Master fluid level is good. No leaking around master or slave.

I'm under the truck now. Help me tacoworld. You're my only hope.

 

Hmm... did you replace the bushing that was worn down?

 

I took out the spring entirely and replaced it with the brake return spring. So no bushing necessary.

Just bled the master and slave. Have pressure. Have level. Truck in gear and still nothing

 

You may have a blown seal in the cylinder, or there is air somewhere. The pedal should return even without a spring at all.

 

Turns out I'm just a dumb fuck. The stack of wrenches threw the 4wd selector into neutral. I'm ready to put on my lipstick and high heels and take your abuse ladies and gentleman. Shaaaaaaaammmeee. So much shame hahahaha.
