    Tearing it apart today. If it is catastrophic I'll probably look into putting a 4.7 v8 from a 1st gen tundra in it.

    A 4bt can be fast I've seen them in drag trucks I even seen one in a 60's camaro its really simple wiring and more fuel and air and the thing is a beast

    I'm going to try to rebuild the 2TR of at all possible. If not I will look into swaps. But I'll probably put a 1GR or a 2UZ in it.

    If UZ family, definitely the 1UZ. It's the strongest from the factory. If space limitations, then a 1GR will bolt right in.
