I was going to just put it back under there, then ratchet strap it back towards the Hitch to pull it away from the Diff.

but.. this hoist relocate is interesting.. gotta look into it.

 

it ain't a big deal to me as it only rubs when I flex pretty well in the rear

also, my rear bumper will be replaced sometime within the next few months with a HC swingout (new modular design), so the spare won't be under for long.

 

I know someone who might be interested in your used bumper.

Well that would be...potentially gooder. My BIL is in North County SDO, and he ferried a set for 4runner wheels up to my folks house in the SF Bay when I bought them from derekabraham back in the motherfucking day.

Worst case, shipping would be cheaper. Or I could meet you at a midway point in some nowhere shithole. But that would probably be more expensive than Fastenal shipping, I would imagine.

Chances are you'll be on some random roadtrip adventure that brings you closer to me than I will to you. If I go anywhere far in my truck, I'll have the family and a trailer and a bed full of shit already...

But I would certainly get you a six pack of beer and maybe even a burger for compensation for the bumper.

You basically just drill a set of new holes about an inch farther back, IIRC. If you are having any clearance issues with the exhaust on the passenger side (assuming you haven't already chopped or rerouted), you could compensate a little for that, too, I think.
