It would probably be 50/50, who knows...
I think I would want mine coated so you couldn't see it while looking in from the outside.

Like your CNC mill, what type is that? Anyways, I'd be interested in a plain one- how high does it fit above an adult's head sitting back there?

Although the raw looks rad, black powdercoated is much more practical and stealth.
Yes. It's a HAAAS vertical Gantry CNC. The rack does not sit directly above your head. It's more forward. I have had many friends ride in the back to test and no issues with head clearance.

I would say raw, I like to get all my PC done local so if there's an issue I can refuse it. Also I would prob do white to match the rest of the truck stuff

^ if that's what your truck looks like after a crash, I'd think you have bigger problems. But yes, anything added to the interior can potentially be a hazzard during a severe collision. Even a coffee mug flying could be a deadly flying projectile.

If you're worried about hitting your head on a rack in roll overs like this then natural selection is doing its parto_O

Honestly I think it could provide more protection in a rollover type scenario... maybe not much but I don't think its going to make things worse... there was someone who rolled his taco with a prinsu roof rack and he partially credited the "minimal" damage to the roof rack adding support.. I think this would add a little support as well..

I guess where it could be dangerous is if a car hit you from either side, once of the sides braking off and the rack swinging down.

Not trying to be a dick and I fully understand your concerns but the pictures are a little extreme if your asking about hitting your head in a crash.

Didn't mean to trash a good thread.

I'm definitely down to purchase one powder-coated in black.
