I hung 40lbs from a single point directly in the middle and it slightly flexed., still pretty sturdy. Although that’s worst case. Most people will be hangin lighter/softer items and better weight distribution. As with anything else, use common sense about what items are placed around you in a moving vehicle. A lightweight med or EDC pack? Sure. An AX?! Not me at least.

Rookie mistake, I stripped two of the jacknuts that came with it... Can anyone point me to where I can find the same exact nuts? I've been looking for them but I can't seem to find it

This may have been addressed already, but has anyone tried to mount their aux electronics to this yet? E.g. CB, Scanner, HAM base.

@mesojdm You may have answered this already but are those 1in spacers necessary on 3rd gens? I can thread the screws without the spacer but with them on I can't seem to get them on. Rivets are installed properly with the tool you recommended and they aren't spinning or anything.

I stripped one of the jack nuts. Does anybody know how to remove it and a link for replacement ones?

Here's a question for you guys that already have one of these. How does having this rack affect the passengers in the back? Is it in their eyes? I was sitting in the back seat today and thinking about how already limited head room there is. Not sure if this is just a sunroof thing or not since this is what I have. Almost seems like it would be dangerous for passengers back there unless they are short. Maybe I will have to just remove the rack if I happen to have any people.

Honestly I don't have a lot of people back there but I have my rifle bag mounted in the middle. I have yet to have a complaint, as far as space goes and unless they are unbuckled they aren't going to hit the rack since the profile is so low. Ill post another picture in a bit after I get back home today, so you can see the setup. If you had a 16in rifle going across or maybe some MOLLE bags going across I could certainly see it being uncomfortable. I think the people who bought this product though aren't necessarily the kind to have passengers in the back.

Well that's kind of what I was thinking in the last two years I've only had maybe one person sit back there. I mainly use it as storage when I'm going out camping.

As you can see the profile is fairly low, and this is the ar I normally don't put up there. I usually have my AR pistol (11.5) up there and there is no contact with anything. The stock makes contact with the back window but since its wrapped tightly up there it doesn't really move. If I had a passenger in the middle they would notice for sure, but I only typically have 2 people max back there.

EDIT: Its loose up there because I half assed this to get some pictures before I head to work. It does work in this config however. It wont move or fall even offroading. Once I finalize it the wont be loose like it is in the side picture.

If thats the case I think you'll be fine. Even if someone had to sit there you could always make room and just remove accessories on 1 side.

Definitely one of the things I respected whenever I go to Arizona. Open carry. Nice setup you have there.
