    I had an electrical connector left over that confused me for about 15 minutes until I realized it was the ACIS and no longer used after installing the blower

    155k here, after doing mine I would say it’s probably not a bad idea to be prepared. I bought the truck just shy of 150, I don’t know how it was treated before, but I’m guessing mild neglect.

    I wouldn’t bother with the chain, as that’s gonna be a lot more involved, but the top tensioners you remove to get the gear in might a decent idea.

    Oh thats not bad at all. I was expecting to have to replace it all. Don't have to worry about guides or anything? Just tensioners? I come from a 3.4 toyota and still learing the inn and outs of these. Just got mine with 136k and just at 140k now.     That’s the most I would consider, most probably won’t need tensioners even. I think mine was the exception, but it couldn’t hurt.

    I have a question. I just bought a Magnuson supercharger and want to do the exhaust cam gears while I'm at it. Would I need to do a custom tune or would Magnuson stock tune be fine? I talked to a shop and they said it'd void Magnuson warranty and they don't do custom tunes. The closest known tuner is a good 5-6 hrs away. Whats the skinny folks? Thanks in advance and best wishes to all.

    HPTuners is the way. You can adjust for the gears with that. @JustDSM is our resident HPTuner expert here. Made me several versions of my SC tune, he's a good dude and is super helpful.
