It's a beefy one for sure....

The 1/4" angle has really helped with heat absorption, along with the stitch welding and keeping a wet towel nearby to help keep things cool. I will need to flip this over and weld some supports underneath.

    Yep I recall!

Initially you were at what, 50" x 50" as I mentioned how STV offers a wider than published cut envelope to allow for standard sheet sizes, not to mention edge-start on thick material.

If I knew the appropriate parts to purchase in terms of ballscrews, etc I'd love to make my current table larger.

    At least 4' x 4'.

But I'm too lazy to do all that right now.

It is finally time to put this table to use and make something useful.

@Kwikvette posted a 5lb propane tank holder he made, I like the design so search around to see what was out there an I found the files for same 5LB propane tank holder online.

I had recently picked up the and It made short work of removing the old coating on the salvaged 12g Mild Steel

    20240824_164655.jpg
Bends where made on the the SWAG press brake and took a a bit of tweaking the bends to everything to fit.

    20240824_174720.jpg

All welded up and a coat of primer.

    20240824_185406.jpg

I need to buy some clamps to hold the bottle in place.

Dude, I'm glad to see the table doing well for you now.

It's the best feeling when you run that program and everything cuts exactly as you expect it to.

Small tip on the lead in, for outside cuts (the last one) I generally like to use a lead in distance equivalent to that of the metal's thickness.

Since I am getting closer to having a watertable, I picked up an oil filter to cut open for the silicon check valve

    20240827_190738.jpg

It is the perfect size for a cheap Splash guard.

the idea came from a thread on plasmaspider.com

I also received part of the new air filtration setup.

Good shit on the motor guard!

But highly recommend against that funnel; I used it for a week or so and hated it (so did my consumables)

Probably cheaper than the 2 or 3 pack of silicone funnels I bought on Amazon

I gave it a try and found the water that splashed up collect right on my consumables, especially when the torch was running post flow but panning over to the next cut path

The water table is in place, once I got it spun in the right direction, it dropped right into place.

    20240831_103938.jpg

Now to wait for the flex seal to dry and cure before testing for water leaks :fingerscrossed:

Once I get the slat holders and slats cut, the major fabrication should be over.

    look what showed up today...

    20240903_153757.jpg

This is very well made for the price, just wish it had some instructions on adjusting the sensors. But after seeing it in person I have a pretty good idea on how I will go about doing it.

The 3"x3"x1/4" Aluminum angle I ordered to make the bracket that will hold the air slide came in as well. the air slide is what will move the airscribe up and down. I wanted to make sure that both the torch mount and air slide bracket get drilled an tapped at the same time. keeps me from having to remove the Z axis plate more than needed
