I just use the plugin and keep my drivers updated. I wish I had an easy solution lol

Wireless isn't a big deal, but I had trouble with interference in the stepper wires from my high frequency start on the plasma torch. I have avoided USB and wireless for that reason.

So far, so good. I have had no issue with EMF. My plasma is remote from my CNC chassis, so maybe I'm lucky because of that. Hence trying to reduce wires. My torch solenoid wire runs 10' feet from the controller to the plasma as well as the plasma+ and plasma-.

OP. I hope we are not stepping on your thread. Please let me know if you are open to more comments and pictures.

I just cut 8 of these, 4 I gave as gifts.

I listed the remaining 4 in the for sale-other section of TW.

So, now I want to know what you're printing on... 3D printing is another one of my microcontroller hobbies :anonymous:

I have been using the Ender 3 Pro, it has been modified with a direct drive system. I had a project that was going to need to print in TPU. turns out other than a few test prints, TPU was never used much. but it does print Carbon Fiber Nylon.

I have been running test prints in PLA, and when needed doing a final print in carbon fiber nylon, at a high resolution and 100% infill. Yes I know it takes longer and cost more in material, but It looks so nice, and and is super strong.

I have an Ender3 amongst my printers. I have been super freaking impressed with it and I can't even build a more reliable printer for cheaper than they cost on sale. Now I'm super into your CNC build thread.

The Test print for the stepper motor cover is finished, good news is it is the right size for the motors, and the the GX16 connectors fit perfectly. bad news... the bolt pattern is wrong.

Now to try the next model that was created from this one, with a Bolt Pattern that appears to be right.

That does looks nice! Sorry about the poor bolt position.

I'm constantly messing with my table. I think I get it the way I want and then a new idea pops in my head.

There is no end to making adjustments...or a complete test down.

I do think I'm getting close. I've been thinking about painting my table base...so I've got that going for me. Which is nice.

that is why I ran a test print... once I get the right model, I can print them out at a higher quality and out of carbon fiber for durability.

part of design as you build, I am trying to force myself into doing a cad model of the table to increase my skills, and to help sort out errors before I start cutting Steel.

The Second Model for the stepper motor covers is the one I need. it is a "remix" of the first model and fixes the missing screw holes.

    20211211_100702.jpg

The Correct one is on the Left, and you can see the added holes.

I also printed out a DIN rail mount for my motor drivers. I have decided to go with DIN rail for the cabinet to help keep everything Neat an tidy, it is also something I have not worked with before so why not use this project to learn.

    20211211_101045.jpg

inside the thingiverse file there are multiple parts for different driver models. The one I ended up using was listed as being the 3HS557 or DM556

    20211211_101239.jpg

use m3 x 12mm hardware to mount the driver to the 3d printed bracket

Now to load the carbon Fiber Nylon, and spend a couple days doing the final prints.

Hell, yes! You saved me some time!

Wife just hit me up to grill tonight, so I wasn't going to get on the computer today.

    Thanks!

I'm going to try it with no border as well. I can get away with a small piece of sheet steel.

Yep. That's exactly what we wanted.

I have it programmed into F360, just need to creat the Gcode.
