    late 2018 replaced front diff 5.29 w/Eaton e locker(which has worked flawlessly) and rear 3rd 5.29 w/ factory locker from ECGS.

    No order here and more to come. I bought this truck brand new in July 2017 and traded in my 2nd gen which is still questionable lol. I had it for 1 month and wrecked it and put a diamond in the frame. Still didn’t total too new. After $20k of repair I got it back and knew it was destined to be a Trail Rig.

    I spliced a v8 4Runner high pressure line to the LC 200 Rack using a Dorman 5000 psi splice kit. The offset bushings are from iconic FJ. I used a 1/2 grade 9 bolt through the front diff mount. Pretty simple set up. If you can cut and weld the LC rack is easy, correcting the steering geometry is time consuming. I didn’t have enough $ for the RCLT kit. More to come on this if anyone is interested

    I chose to use the stock LC tie rods just had to flip them and move them forward modifying the knuckle mount. The stock Tacoma location will not work you’ll end up with extreme toe in at full bump. As you can see the stock tie rods are extremely small. All of this will only work with at least +2” LT as the LC rack is wider than Tacoma. Big Mike has already covered this.

    The gusset is 3/16. I did a stop start pattern to not over heat the knuckle.

    i used a laser parallel to the frame rails and cycled the suspension and made adjustments until the knuckle stayed parallel during travel. However there is still slight toe in at full bump. I’ve hit potholes going 70 and there is some bump steer but it’s manageable. This winter I plan to spend more time on this and double shear heim a camburg knuckle.

    if your messing around with steering it better be strong. Dom 1/4 wall and 1/2” plate mig weleded on 240v with a 5/8 grade 8 bolt for insurance.

    This is the end result which I have ran for a year and trail tested. So there’s an LC 200 rack in a 3rd gen Tacoma with steering geometry corrected with a camburg +2” kit. The nice part about the trail series kit is it moves the tire forward 1” and you can use your mid travel CO. You could get 13” of travel but 8” of that would be up travel. Lots of cutting Toyota sheet metal one of my least favorite things to do.
