Been looking in the towing thread for a while but wasn't able to find anything on this. If I missed it I apologize. Looking to buy a Coachman Clipper 108ST and was wondering if anyone here has one and how do you like it.

I checked out the 108 a few years ago but ended up with the 126 instead. I liked the larger box on the 126. It’s a decent camper but I find that they are all built pretty cheaply. My 4 cylinder pulls it with no problems at all.

Thanks for the info! Is it poor quality work or poor quality in the materials that they use? We really like this but based on your feed may to look for another one.

I think all the newer pop ups are built pretty cheaply as far as materials go. It has done fine for the two seasons I’ve used it but have had to perform simple emergency repairs while camping. Water leak from the water hookup. Turned out to be a loose fitting. One of the curtains tracks unfastened from the roof on one end. Needed to be restapled. Fitting let go on the propane tank. I don’t believe that it’s limited to pop ups. My neighbor has a 24 ft camper newer then mine and has had electrical problems and other issues as well.
Please don’t think that I don’t like my camper. I do. It is so much better than using a tent.
I just accept that it’s not a perfect world and stuff breaks. I always make sure I have a toolbox with a decent assortment of tools and and supplies for those kinds of emergencies.

I hear you about it not being a perfect world. We're looking at a new one so I hope I can use it a few times without any issues. I'll make it a point to take a toolbox with me for emergency type repairs. Been emailing a RV shop about it and we're going to go look at it in a couple of weeks. The wife really wants to move away from the tent, but the kids prefer the tent.

I will say that it pulls great and we got caught in a torrential rainstorm with it last summer and we stayed dry and there were no leaks . Couldn’t sleep as the noise sounded like a freight train inside the camper but we didn’t get wet.
It’s such a huge improvement from the tent. This year I’m going to replace the mattress cushions or get a memory foam topper. By morning my back is killing me as the factory mattress compresses to nothing and you are literally sleeping on a board. I think I’m also gonna do the interlocking foam tiles on top of the board to act as a softer base. Good luck with your choice.

Nice! It looks big and roomy. I know the feeling about the rain. We got caught in a rainstorm on one of our trips last year and the whole time the wife was saying if we had a travel trailer or popup camper we would be dry and eating inside... Kids were loving the rain. Couldn't win, lol. I'll send you some pics when we get it. Thanks again for all the info really appreciate it.
