Just picked up my Tacoma about a month ago, and today is my 14 year mark in the Coast Guard. Time flies when you're having fun, so I must be having fun. Doesn't seem like boot camp was that long ago!

yeah i know, just wasnt sure if you were being a smartass or not. a lot of kids my age have everything handed to them but ive been cutting yards since i was like 8 and i still do. also a furniture salesman now and i bought my first truck and paid for all the mods and sold it to buy my dream truck.

Hey ... I did the same thing ... worked since I was very young too .. had my paper route since 12 y/o (won 5 trips), cut grass since 8 y/o and bought my first new car (GTO) at 18 y/o.

Grasshopper ... do the 20 years with a good MOS in the USCG ... get your college in the military ... then get a civilian job with military experience and retire there too ... then take your SSA ... plus your savings ... and you will be set for life. ...
