How much is the extra high-3 average worth to ya? As far as I understand it, CCTI has been nerfed heavily these days.

Think you'll need to go to CCTI to do 24 years. Can't dodge the system THAT long.

    Ruins the surprise.

Read the MCPOCG letter as to what they're no longer allowed to do.

I read what you sent. I just think its childish, i don't see how singing a song promotes anything.

I went to the CPOA and thought that was too long and could have been shortened. Was like an over inflated LAMS.

i have no desire to learn that song either.

I went through the CCTI back in 2011 before they made the last round of significant changes. I'm not going to go into details and some of it may seem childish but there's a point to it and the best part of it is getting out and meeting other Chiefs in and around your area. Sitting and talking with them to learn what they have to pass along is invaluable and it's also a good way to network.

CCTI isn't mandatory like the CPOA is now.

I know several people that refuse to go through the CCTI for various reasons, it's voluntary.

Yes, yes we are secretive about it. There's tradition behind it and it is a "Chiefs" thing so why let the cat out of the bag for every E2-E6 and JO know about it.
If you think it's just about singing Semper Paratus then you are mistaken.

It's pretty evident your looking for reasons to not participate in the CCTI and to ride it out until you retire. You're well within your right to do so but I think you should consider it.

Judging by your posts it seems you just want to do what you have to until you can pull a retirement check and go about the rest of your life. If that's the case I think it's not going to be the easiest ride out to retirement. You're a Chief now not an over paid E6. With that anchor comes additional responsibility to your junior enlisted, your command and the Chiefs Mess. Don't be that anchor dragging the Mess down.
