    1. Hey everyone!

I've been in contact with Coastal Offroad and have worked out details for a bulk order. I recently did an install for one of their front Tundra bumpers and was overall very impressed with the design, price, & quality of their product.

IMO, one of the most appealing products they make is their Extreme Clearance Plate Bumper that is designed to work in conjunction with the front lower cross member removed. Would be a great kit to build off of if you were doing the JD Fab LCA relocation or similar.

They are not able offer a substantial discount on the bumper kits themselves as they are already very competitively priced, however, they are willing to offer a solid freight discount as long as the product is shipped together, to one location.

I am able to receive and distribute the product but I will not be offering shipping. NO DROP SHIPPING. YOU WILL BE REQUIRED TO PICKUP/CORDINATE DELIVERY IN OR AROUND SAN DIEGO.

Group buy details are as follows.
      -Minimum of 10 kits purchased
-Open to any product on their website
-Standard shipping rates are $147 per bumper kit & $198 for bumper kit with swing outs
-Product lead time is 7-10 business days depending on materials availability

PM me for pricing details. I'll provide discount details that your are welcome to share with other members. I simply don't want to break any MAP guidelines.

I'm confused. The prices you see are for shipping. Where's the typo?

visiting the actual website shows the retail price of their products which are really low to begin width.. find a 2nd gen or even a 3rd gen high clearance front bumper at this price.. and then, add the potential savings from this group buy...

Their bumpers are all DIY kits. You’re paying for a bunch of steel Lego prices that need to be welded together. Great if your or your buddy can weld- not so great if you need to pay realistic labor prices to have the kit assembled.

you’d be amazed at how many people think they can pay a welder $200 to put their bumper together.

Not only that, but a decent garage welder will have a hard time getting fabrication shop quality out of these kits. I did coastal off-roads rear HC and I love it, but it's not shop quality. That's fine as I'm happy with the project, experience, and price point.

Really makes you appreciate shops that put out high quality products and really puts into perspective the whole fabrication aspect as a customer. When people complain about turn around times for bumpers, I want to buy them a coastal kit, a welder, and challenge them to meet their own "achievable" deadline and quality standards.

    This^

The DIY kits are great way to save a buck and have a fun project if you have the resources but don't expect much of a cost savings if you have to pay shop rate. The bumper I built took about 18 hours to fully assemble. Granted, it was an older kit that didn't have the CNC bent center piece so you could save a good amount of time with one of their newer kits but it's still going to cost you.

There's also always the quality aspect. You absolutely get what you pay for an only a small percentage is materials costs.

FACTS!!! finally someone says it! This takes about 8 hours to weld together... Done correctly... And most shop labor rates (at least in Texas) are in the $135 per hour.ao that's roughly $1080 just in labor. These are great kits for yourself or yourself and a buddy. So not bring to a professional shop and expect cheap install. We get called for these bumpers constantly thinking it's super cheap to weld them together.

I do just over double that price to keep it competitive against buying a complete bumper. Doubted I am no professional, but itll hold together

What is your 8 hours based off of? Is this number from time the truck is brought in, torn down, assembled, and finished or? My personal experience was much more involved but that included grinding and blending the welds. Still a valid example at a $135 per hour shop rate.

Sounds like a reasonable price. What all does this include? Blending welds, paint, etc?

It sure is a lot of work, but it gets easier every time. It was frustrating and fun at the same time lol I did 3 to date. First was my 4th gen t4r, my buddy’s 3rd gen t4r both front/rear & dual swing outs and here’s my 2nd gen i just finished last month.

Or, some of us didn't even know this thread even existed.

I ordered a kit from them realizing it was at the same time you started this GB.

If there's one in the future, I'll keep an eye out. Don't need one, would just like a small order from them.
