oof. yeah that'd be a deal breaker. Don't need anything else for a while. Just trying to get some underbelly protection since I've dropped the truck on the crossmember the last two times out.

Yea I hear ya. Keep your eye out if you are in no rush though, I imagine they won't do that again for this year.

Anyone have word if Coastal is doing a black Friday deal or when it will start? Probably going to pick up the skid kit if so.

Side note I was checking out your build thread how are the 887's holding up with the coastal bumper? I am planning to go to 887's with 5100s and do coastal skids at the same time but heard steel bumper+winch makes the 887's sag to 2.5 inches of lift.

Doing fine, I'll probably need to go for a higher weight rated spring once my sliders (when I finish building them...) and skids (When I buy them) go on.
Currently have the 12k Badlands Apex winch in there too. but I was rolling around with a big ranch hand on before this so net, I'm probably just over ~100lbs from what I had on before. Front sinks a lot more on landings now.

I haven't noticed any sag, but I also haven't looked that closely. Busy, No rest for the wicked.

EDIT: Also FWIW, I haven't noticed any difference in MPGs with this setup.
    33's. Bumper + winch = Average 15-16 MPG

fwiw. i had 887s with the coastal bumper and had to swap to 886s. was sagging close to 2 full inches and was bottoming out hard a lot on forest roads. i have sliders, winch, dual battery and usually a kayak or 2 up top.

I figured once the sliders and skids went on it'd be bottomed out. Kinda want to just completely upgrade the suspension though....

All great info thank you so much! The ultimate plan for my truck is once the wife's car is paid off we are going to start looking at 4runners for myself as a DD and turn the truck into a fun vehicle which means full plate bumper and high clearance rear with sliders. Planning on getting the bumpers from coastal when the time comes cause I love the idea of a weld it yourself kit to save some cash. But its clear after reading lots of other threads once you go plate bumper/winch and +1 of either skids or sliders the spring rate of an 885/887 is too little and 886 is suggested.

If only coastal had a weld it yourself slider kit for 2nd gen dclb I would be all over those!
