Pretty sure it was designed around the amittybilt 9.5k, but we have put the x2o in as well. Need to drill out the fairlead bolt holes though. It is very very tight. Maybe have to trim some other stuff out of the way as well, and likely relocate the solenoid.

I got an x20 in mine too. Took some encouragement but everything fit, I didn't end up needing to relocate the solenoid fwiw.

I and others have fit the APEX 12k winch from HF in there. It's snug though and you have to relocate the control box.

Has anyone built the non high clearance bumper on the Second Gen? with the dual swingout? Been looking for pictures but it seems like nobody uses this one.

I posted this in another section, but I found this thread. So here goes.
Does anybody have any experience with this bumper from Coastal? An observation, it seems like many pieces to weld and with a little press brake work, some welding could have been eliminated, thus the reduced chance of warpage. I see no reviews on their website.
    https://www.coastaloffroad.com/product-page/2nd-gen-tacoma-low-profile-rear-bumper/
My 2010 bumper is looking pretty poor and I'm thinking about my options and I like the hidden receiver hitch. I have a welder and experience so this should be a none issue.

All their bumpers are similiar in that they all come fully disassembled and and require you to weld them up. I am not sure what you mean by with a little press brake work some welding could have been eliminated though. I will say that these kits are incredibly easy to put together, (especially this type considering you don't have to cut your truck up at all like you would with the high clearance version) and many people take it on as their first big welding project. If you are really worried about warpage, just make sure you take your time and measure everything twice before and after tacking. And when it is time to weld just go slow and do a bunch of small welds all over the place rather than welding full plates at once as well as letting welds cool a bit and you shouldn't have any issues with warping.
I think most of use here have been very happy with our coastal off-road products, and I haven't heard of anyone really screwing anything up.

Thats exactly what I was going to suggest, stitch weld the whole thing and you will have minimal warpage. You are most likely going to flap disk all the welds to make the bumper look seamless before you paint it anyways so stitch weld works great to keep things from warping.

Not that particular one, but there's no press brake work required unless you work something out with Coastal. I took on the front bumper for me gen2 as my first big welding project (as mentioned above) and had zero issue with any sort of warping or anything. These can be done by a skilled welder in a day, or by a novice over a weekend. Just depends on how fast you get everything tacked up, welded and ground. For me I had to reweld a few spots because I didn't get enough penetration and ground the weld away.

Just curious about how Coastal was to work with as I didn't see any reviews on their website for any of their 2nd gen bumpers.
I'm experienced enough that I know how to handle warpage. My welder is a 175 Lincoln MIG.

Coastal is alright if you're not in a group buy. Trying to get shipping info on a group buy is hard. If you just order for yourself, they send you the info right away. I even emailed once before my order shipped at like 3am wanting the instructions ahead of time just to see what all was needed and Brandon (iirc) sent me them like 30 minutes later.

I ordered straight from them and not in a group buy, I got order details super fast. My stuff shipped out about 6 days after my order and was delivered about 6 days after that. I thought that was pretty good for 2 packages of cut steal crossing the boarder and going cross country. When I installed my skid set I accidentally skipped over some of the mounting instructions and emailed Brandon and posted up in here. Brandon got back to me within a day which is understandable cause they run a full time business and it gets busy. Overall I am super happy with ordering their stuff, I even suggested their parts to my buddy with a 4runner and offered to weld it up for him to save him some cash.

I wanted to share actual, current shipping lead times. While the website and automated email states 2-5 days to typically process and ship, I ordered on 4/20 and reached out to Coastal as 6 business days had passed without information. An email reply from Daniel stated it would would ship out late this week, which I can only surmise means Friday or later. All in all, looking at 2 weeks to ship out.

I think it should be tossed out as well that there is a metal shortage going on and that almost every fab shop I have talked to over the last year have had to increase their lead times substantially.

put a table on the swingout to have more counter space while cooking. folds down flush with the tailgate and is supported by 90 degree max door hinges. I wanted avoid the wire/rope supports as they get in the way.

used some thick tube so i could tap it and put a bolt through to pinch the wiring in place. inside the tube is a small flat bar that spreads out the pinching force to prevent any wire damage.

there wasn't a whole lot on what people did with their wiring that didnt involve zip ties so I thought I would share what I came up with.
