So after much reading, I'm still hesitant of installing a relay/fuse system because:
    1. I can't find videos on how to properly wire them
    2. I only have two relays dangling (for now)
    3. If I have a half dozen spots, I'm gonna want to fill them......

I'm going for this (example from someone on Pure Fab facebook page)

    pillars.jpg

I will be picking up back up pillars today at Toyota of Nashua, and the actual pods come in today as well.:

    raw pod.jpg 844d8f_a6f707cd5fa14dfca085e1158f04356f_mv2.jpg

I'll be mounting them just a tad higher (1/4" or so), and smoothing the transitions with bondo, then painting with SEM. These are getting the new CDT ES02EX Coaxial drivers.

I've had this horrible mold smell in my truck for a week. Today I ripped out my interior to find the padding under the rug was wet, and the smell was coming from that.
    20210526_180134.jpg 20210526_180145.jpg 20210526_180152.jpg 20210526_180154.jpg
So I have damp-rid in there for the night, and tomorrow I'll put in an order eater. The carpet is hanging up in my garage.

Also, there was still a gap at the third brake light even after the dealership bent me over fixing it when it failed, so I siliconed it.

Ridiculous. Not what I wanted to do this week.

So the weekend was a bust, but I got the interior super cleaned out, and then deleted a seat.

And now that I have finished up my cousin's car (which sounds fantastic for the equipment he had), I have time to work on mine again. Now I am going to move my dash drivers up to the a-pillars.

The screws have been removed and my cousin volunteered to bondo them - he's an auto body guy.

Well, I'm switching over the a Pioneer DMH-WT8600NEX. I'm sure there will be pics. In other news, my pods are very slowly getting done, and my cousin keeps forgetting to send me pics. However, these are the drivers going in the pods:

    So, here we go!

Ron's audio revision 8,098,311 will consist of:

    Pioneer DMH WT8600NEX
    JL VX1000/5i
CDT ES-02EX in custom A-Pillar pods
Morel Tempo Ultra 6x9 mid woofers
JL 12TW3 in a Mr. Marv special box

I do believe I am going to have a lot of stuff for sale soon LOL

My cousin is doing the filler and paint. He's a body guy and pretty meticulous.

Wasn't too bad installing this today.

My amp is so frigging easy to get set up, it's ridiculous.

Whoa, that’s pretty intense! Huge! I’m curious to see how you find the difference with the speaker and location switch. I’d probably run my unity 8’s first in there to hear the location difference, then switch the new speakers in. If I could be patient enough lol.

I'm still waiting for the pods to be finished. Once they are done, that is going to really trigger some work - tuning etc. There is definitely a sound loss having the speakers in the dash - I can tell just by moving my head toward the dash. I also am going to need to remeasure all the speaker distances for the time alignment. I love the amp I am running, it just makes shit happen.....
