Used the annex on the rtt for the first time this weekend. Bed rack is a little low but it worked fine.

I love them. Awesome traction on the trails. Better performance in snow and less "floaty" feeling doing higher speed stuff off road. Plus I gained a little bit of gas mileage on the highway @geekhouse23

Thanks! I am not quite due yet..but in the future, I want to do more and more trips so the MPGs will help. I think it will be a better choice overall for that overland/EAF build I am going for.

Yea. I'm not sayin huge mpg difference but it was noticable. Really came into play on our recent Canada trip

Ended up scoring a e9000 Engo winch from a raffle and fabbed up a quick rough mount a few days before an overlanding trip to Canada's swisha loop

Final product. I was on a time crunch so I still need to clean up the edges and add a few final touches

@mike175gr i have the 4xinnovation shackle flip kit with Dakar springs and bilstein b110 shocks. Only things I modified were longer brake lines and I extended the bump stops to help prevent the the shocks from bottoming out. As far as the skid I can get some more pics of it tomoro in the daylight for ya.

Here's some more pics of the skid. It's one peice from the back of my 4x innovations ifs skid all the way back to a crossmember I made behind the transfercase. I made it one peice so it can be totally flat all the way back. It's made from 1/4" diamond plate with 1"x1/4" welded down the sides for support. So far I haven't seen any reason to add any angle iron braces in the middle like a lot of people do to there mid skids.

Here is the angle peice I welded on to the front to match up to the 4x ifs skid. You can also see the 1x welded down the sides.

    image.jpg

Here I cut out the 1x so the plate could sit flush with the trans crossmember. Then I bolted it up through the crossmember. I just used regular grade 8 bolts and so far the heads sticking out hasn't been an issue.

    image.jpg

The holes on top of the crossmember are pretty large so I just used some left over plate to put the bolts through. I was gonna used large washers but I figured they were too thing and eventually the bolt would pull through. So far this method is holding up great.

    image.jpg

Here is the crossmember I made. It's 2x2 1/8" wall square tubing. The I used 2" angle iron to make the feet for mounting to the frame. I put the upright part of the angle to the inside of the frame to help guide the plate into position when lifting it with the jack.

Did a little more work to the slowly progressing front bumper. Made some recovery points out of some 2x1.25 solid stock scraps I had layin around.
    IMG_0186.jpg IMG_0187.jpg IMG_0188.jpg IMG_0196.jpg

I also installed a wireless controller for the engo winch. It didn't have any instructions but I was able to find a picture on another forum. Both @Chux and myself installed them and they both work great. There is a slight delay after pushing the button vs. the wired controller but it's not a deal breaker. The receiver is the black box withe the green wire on the left hand side of the solenoid box.

Make sure your box is sealed. My wireless controller shorted one day and turn the winch on while I was driving down the road. Luckily the winch wasn't engaged or it probably would have burned up. Ideally I should probably install a power switch for the winch but haven't yet
