Being affected with the inability to make wise decisions it's time for coco customs bedrack 3.0. First one was rushed together for a trip. Second one was a little more care given to making it nice looking and was literally just made to hold the rtt. I loved the low profile but it just wasn't practical and made getting things in the front of the bed a real pain because the only access was from the back. Version 3.0 is taller, neater, even and straight. I'm gonna include lights on the sides and as I find it nessecary make mounting tabs for various things to gain expo points. Not too bad for a little after work project.

Really loving the dewalt chop saw. That and a little trigonometry go a long way and make for huge time savings.

    Thank you!
Definilty go for it. They may not be as powerful as the 6 cylinders but mine does everything I ask of it and then some. I also feel they don't have as many nickel and dime issues as the 6's, like throwout bearing issues and repetitive o2 sensor codes and such.

Mine did great until I moved to 8500ft. If you plan on being at a high altitudes often I wouldn't recommend it.

    He won't listen lol

The pinion gear for 5.29's is so small the stress on it is drastically increased. It will probably be fine under most conditions but the chances of a pinion related failure are definitely greater.

Lol. So did more work on the new bed rack. Ideally running the wiring inside would have been awesome but with rust in the north east I decided I'd rather keep it all sealed up rather than have pole a bunch of holes in it. Also installed some of these cheap low profile leds from the Zon. @Chux and I had discussed how frustrating it is to to be looking for a camp spot in the dark and seeing a clearing in the tree line only to turn in and see it's nothing when the headlights hit it. Then need to backup and repeat the process. So I mounted two facing back for reversing/work lights and one on each side to assist in finding camp spots and general side lighting. I really dig there shape and light output. Time will tell how they hold up. I did add some silicon around where the wires go in just to make myself feel better.

Here you can see the low profile of the side mounted light. Don't mind the rusty Jerry mount :anonymous:

Like I said amazing amount of light for the price and a great spread pattern. Curious to see long term.
