Hello everyone I just recently got a check engine light and wanted to get some opinions on what could be some solutions.

Here’s the story so you can better understand and maybe know the solution. I went off-roading yesterday during a snow storm so the whole trail was muddy. Somewhere along the trail my gas filler neck popped out from my fiberglass fuel fill area and the gas cap came off, but I did not notice this until way later. After I finished the trail I got a check engine light on and went to inspect the gas cap. I noticed that the filler neck hole was frozen shut and got what seemed like a ton of mud down to the fuel tank. I went to autozone to get some HEEF water remover for the ice that most definitely got into the tank and got the codes scanned.
The Tacoma is displaying these codes:
    P0174
    P117B
    P0171
    P0191
Unfortunately this happened a day before I go on a trip for 2 weeks so I haven’t been able to try small fixes like changing the fuel filter to see if it’s clogged from the dirt. I did check my MAF sensor and it was a tiny bit dirty but I didn’t have any cleaner to clean it and hope that was the simple fix.

I did notice driving back home after the engine light came on that whenever I accelerate past 2500 rpm the truck just completely cuts power and it’s as if I took my foot off the gas and hit my brakes a bit. I’m pretty sure this is from the ECM trying to fix the air fuel ratio but I’m no expert. If anyone has any advice on things to look for or inspect it would be greatly appreciated!!!!

a ton of mud down in the fuel tank is not good, you will most likely have to find a way to pull the tank, remove the pump and sending unit, and get it cleaned out. The fact that the neck was frozen shut tells me dirty water was most likely getting in there before it froze shut.

Yeah I’ll drop The tank once I get back home. If enough dirt got into the tank do you think it could mess with the fuel pump heavily?

Sounds like you answered your own question. The fill neck being frozen over is a good indication, you got water and mud in the tank. I bet the pump is now bad. They are variable pumps volume pumps.

Sad face I don’t want to drop the tank… but it must be done then. Thanks for the info!
