As of the last month or so my truck has been getting harder and harder to start. Battery tests great, I’m getting good power to starter and it sounds fine, ran cleaner through the injectors I replaced spark plugs fairly recently but not the coils. Could that be my issue? I’m not getting any misfiring tho or any codes that would suggest so. She runs just as good as before as far as I can tell but has a lot of trouble starting. I also just replaced the crankshaft position sensor while I was in there doing the timing belt which it did throw a code for at first but now it has changed to the p1300. Also think it could be an igniter, if anyone can help that would be appreciated.

The consensus of those that have chased this P1300 problem is that anything but factory coils causes more problems that it solves. You check these things electronically but most of the time they pass the "tests" and out of frustation they just put 3 new coils on... they are what, 25 years old? Cant Toyota make anything that lasts ; )

Yea I have heard of that but wouldn't I be getting a misfire as well? also are the coils denso or do I have to actually buy the 200$ a pop oem ones. I also think it would definitely be the igniter, sounds like the wire from that module to the ecu which is brown, sometimes looses strong connection and just has to be replaced or finagled with.
