What's with all the different cut-outs on this? Just curious.

I'm assuming its just to accomodate different sized cups. These things are super helpful!

I like the trader Joes instant packs. Has cream and sugar already mixed.

So I don't go camping often but I'm pretty sure I have it good when it comes to coffee/tea. Even though I like BRCC's Black Beards Delight when I get a hold of a bag, I still have to uphold my values towards Starbucks... Being I work for em :anonymous:
If I've got the time, say during lunch, I'll whip out the press and grind some Italian or French.
Ya'll got Starbucks wrong, you go to the right store, its not as hipster as you would think :D
Everyone thinks Starbucks is 10% coffee 90% SUGAR. You are right to a certain extent. Every one of our syrups have the same first 2 ingredients, Water, and sugar. Period. No corn syrup, no sucralose. My stores main focus is drive times, but we still put out quality drinks 99% of the time. We slip up sometimes cause we're human, but for the most part customers are happy, and keep coming back. Always have to tell myself, IT'S JUST COFFEE. That is if I haven't already cursed out the belligerent customer... just kidding! Starbucks takes "The customer is ALWAYS right" to a whole different level, that's the only thing I dislike about the company. Besides that, pay is lower than average, but the benefits make up for it in the long run. Besides Starbucks (sorry for the rant ),

Trader Joe's instant packs aren't bad, but if I can, I make sure to bring a plastic press and pre grind. If I could, I would bring my own grinder. Brewing coffee right after you grind it is the best thing you can do for flavor and robustness. I HATE PRE GROUND BAGS, its just not as stable as grinding on the spot.
FYI, Kopelani is almost out and its an awesome dark blend for the upcoming spring season. :drunk:

I wish Starbucks would stay out of politics, they have an absolutely excellent product and good employees.

Enlighten me on the politics we're in because I truly don't know, I don't follow what they meddle in. Please of course stay within TW politics policy, I'm not here to argue, just truly want to know. All I know is BRCC backers kept hating on Starbucks for not supporting vets, yet we've been hiring vets towards our 10k initiative for years which we've surpassed and I believe we are trying for 20k by 2025 or something like that. Not hating on BRCC either, they have a good selection and competitive prices, which only helps both of us in the long run, they just aren't as large of a corporation yet. I always make sure to get my free pound every week

Check out an aeropress. Similar to the idea of a French press but cheaper and much better. I got tired of replacing the keurig every year and a half so we went to the aeropress. Very compact and could go on a camping trip easily.

I will have to skirt this one carefully to not violate this forum policy, but it’s something like this: Tying the brand to certain values and political beliefs is one way to differentiate, establishing a higher-end image that persuades customers to pay more for beverages than they would at an everyman favorite like Dunkin' Donuts.

I’m not hating on the company, they just need to concentrate on the business of coffee, not changing the world.

That's a good way to make one or more cups of coffee that'll stay hot longer in cold weather.

A new replacement has arrived. Last one began to leak finally after 8 years.

Well I was debating over a aeropress or a pour over setup next.

Pour over can make a great cup of coffee. I'll be sticking with the aeropress for a good while though. I don't think you'd regret either.

Later this year I'm looking to get a new espresso machine also. Was considering a Rocket so far but may change my mind. Still in the research phase. I know I want a double boiler in it. Not big on lever machines either.

For travel, a French press type maker is a little simpler to use, I use an Espro Press that is also a travel mug style. My favorite is an Aeropress for sure. Fellowmakes a fairly Aeropress attachment called Prismo that uses a bit more pressure and makes it closer to an Expresso. I’ve been using it for a week and am really liking it. For me, the key to making good coffee is a decent burr grinder.
