For sure. A grinder makes all the difference in a great cup.

I have every coffee device known, nice grinder, rocket espresso machine, aeropress, french press, but my favorite is a $2 plastic #2 filter holder to fo pour over. On the trail, mt. Hagen instant with nido is great.

What did you think of the Rocket? Was it the R58?

Mine is a cellini premium plus, heat exchanger, love it. I wouldn’t throw another $1k for 58.

This is what I use. Takes about twice as long as a regular household coffee pot, but it brews a nice pot of coffee. I love this thing.

I have one of those too! Melted the plastic all up on one side the first time I used it because I couldn’t get it to percolate. Then I realized that it just takes a few minutes longer :anonymous:

Although I only bring it out when I’m camping with other people. If it’s just the family I stick to the insulated French press.

I haven't had any problems with mine. I love it and use it all the time when I am camping or off-roading. It has been one of the greatest things.

I'm going to get a Vietnamese coffee press so I can have a good cup of Cà Phê Sữa Đá.

Aeropress when camping for an americano-ish pour-over-ish cup. V60 or chemex at home. French press is too thick for my taste. I prefer the lighter brighter notes in the coffee that pour over can showcase. Aeropress is a nice in between for body and so damn easy. Next step is finding a good hand grinder for my camping set up.

Any suggestions for Moto camping where space is limited? My 44 oz
French press is a bit large for that

What are you carrying to boil water? I would recommend an aeropress. If you’re carrying a jetboil you could get the French press accessory though

I personally take a jetboil and aeropress with me wheeling and camping. You could take a pocket stove with fuel, pot, and aeropress to be a little more versatile. There are collapsible pourovers if you want an even lighter setup. Depends on how much you are willing to carry for coffee

Dude, no joke.... I’ve had everything under the sun.... in just about every form..... here’s what has stuck.... buy your favorite roast (ground).... Stanley flask press and hot water... boom! Easy, delicious, and easy to clean and all self contained. No cleaning multiple dishes
